I'm a developer in Rome. I build agents and the tooling around them, mostly in TypeScript, Python and Swift, mostly local-first, usually because the thing I wanted didn't exist in a shape I liked.

The projects on this site share a bias. Software should keep working when the network doesn't, and a system should stay small enough that one person can hold all of it at once. Dictation that never leaves the machine. An assistant whose hardest problem is deciding to stay quiet. A context server that hands a model the slice of a repository it needs instead of the whole tree.

What interests me at the moment is the half of an agent that fails: what it does when the context window fills, when a cached fact goes stale, when the model is confident and wrong. Most of the engineering in the write-ups here lives in that half, because it turned out to be where the actual problem was.

Working together

I have capacity at the moment. The engagements that go well are the specific ones: an agent or a local-first tool that needs building or unsticking, a scope that fits in a paragraph, and direct contact with whoever is making the decisions.
